About the Destination

Shirakawa is a village located in Ono District, Gifu Prefecture, Japan. It is best known for being the site of Shirakawa-go, a small, traditional village showcasing a building style known as gassho-zukuri. Together with Gokayama in Nanto, Toyama, it is one of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites

Takayama is a city in Japan's mountainous Gifu Prefecture. The narrow streets of its Sanmachi Suji historic district are lined with wooden merchants houses dating to the Edo Period, along with many small museums. The city is famed for its biannual Takayama Festival, going back to at least the mid-1600s, celebrating spring and fall with parades featuring ornate, gilded floats and puppet shows.

Itinerary

  • The itinerary is for reference only and visiting sequence may be different, and is subject to any necessary changes in accordance to local operation requirements.

  • Your final hotel name and details will be provided 3 days prior to tour departure. In the unlikely event, the operator reserves the right to change the hotel of a similar class.
  • The hotel is located within a walking distance to the nearest meeting point.

  • Simple lunch price about JPY 1000 - 1500 (USD 10 15), Simple dinner price about JPY 1500 - 2000 (USD 15 20).

Extension

  • For Sharing Vehicle customers who extend their tour, departure airport transfer will subject to additional charges
  • For Private Vehicle customers who extend their tour, departure airport transfer will be provided.

Tour Pick Up Information:

  • Your final pick-up information will be provided on your final tour itinerary prior to your arrival.

Guidelines During The Tour :

  • You have to wait at your apartment entrance 10 minutes before pick up time as the tour assistant might have to pick up other passengers. The tour assistant might not wait for you. Should you be late, it will be considered as no shows and no refund will be provided.
  • During your sightseeing tour includes free time in certain spots. Please arrive at the meet up location given by the tour assistant at least 10 minutes before the meet up time. There will be no waiting for late-comers. Travelers who fail to show up on time will not receive any refund and will be considered as no show
  • If you choose to leave in the middle of the tour, please inform your tour assistant and you have to make your own way back to your apartment at your own cost.
  • The operator will not take responsibility if the attraction is closed due to maintenance or any other situation beyond the operators control. No refunds or reschedules will be issued in this case
  • The tour assistant responsibility is to assist you to coordinate the logistic of your tour and provide basic information. The tour assistant will not provide guiding and narration of tour.

Cancellation & Refund Policy Before Tour Departure Date

  •  All cancellation must be made in writing.
  • 10% of the total tour fare will be imposed for cancellation after confirmation of the tour.
  • 50% of the total tour fare will be imposed for cancellation made between 15 to 30 days prior to departure.
  • 100% of the total tour fare will be imposed for cancellation made less than 14 days prior to departure.

Cancellation & Refund Policy During the Tour:

  • There is no refund value for unused portions of tour and travel services.
