Alishan National Scenic Area is in central Taiwan. It's dominated by the Alishan Mountains, which feature cloud-ringed peaks and green valleys. The area is home to Tsou aboriginal villages, known for tea production. A narrow-gauge train, part of the Alishan Forest Railway, runs through high-altitude forests. The Giant Tree Plank Trail boardwalk winds past huge cypress trees, including the fallen Alishan Sacred Tree.

Day 1 Arrival Taipei
  • Upon arrival at Taoyuan International Airport, you will be transferred to hotel check-in and free & easy.

Day 2 Taipei - Hualien (B/L)

  • Jiufen - Explore narrow alleyways of its old town, packed with teahouses, street-food shacks, and souvenir shops.
  • Suhua Highway - Drive through a scenic highway starting from Yilan and ending at Hualien.
  • Taroko National Park - Visit Taiwans most spectacular natural attractions, home to the Taroko Gorge.
  • Swallow Grotto Trail - Witness the heart of the park with the best viewpoint for overlooking the narrowest part of the gorge.
  • Tunnel of Nine Turns - One of the most scenic sections with an impressive view of the Liwu River.
  • Eternal Spring Shrine - A beautiful temple nestled within the hillside, atop a waterfall stream.
  • Dongdamen Night Market - The sprawling wide-laned marketplace is a must-visit experience when spending an evening in Hualien.

Day 3 Hualien - Taitung (B/L/D)

  • Chisingtan Scenic Area - Enjoy the magnificent scenery and the pebble stone beach.
  • Farglory Ocean Park - Visit Taiwan's first marine park and theme park hybrid offer visitors an exciting selection of thrilling rides, entertaining shows, and fun activities. Must-see attractions include the widely acclaimed Dolphin and Sea Lion shows and the impressive aquarium.
  • Ruisui Tropic of Cancer Marker - A monument marking the Tropic of Cancer in Ruisui Township, Hualien.
  • Water Running Up - A gravity-defying stream that appears to run uphill in Donghe Township. One of the stranger sights in Taiwan that seems to defy nature and the laws of physics.
  • Jhihben Hot Spring - Enjoy soaking in a Hot Spring. (Bring your own swimsuit and swimming cap)

Day 4 Taitung - Kaohsiung (B/L)

  • Meinong Hakka Village - The center exhibits the preserved Hakka cultures and local industries as well as the cultures and geography of Meinong.
  • Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum - Visit a Mahayana Buddhist cultural, religious, and educational museum. The museum houses one of the tooth relics of Sakyamuni Buddha, the founder of the Buddhist faith.
  • Dragon and Tiger Pagodas - The seven-story tower is representative of traditional Kaohsiung culture. You may take a walk around Lotus Lake for a stunning pagodas view.
  • Vigor Kobo - Visit the castle of golden pineapple and experience DIY Pineapple cakes.
  • Xinjuejiang Night Market - A streets and alleys packed with boutique clothing shops and restaurants along with many stalls selling food, snacks, and drinks.

Day 5 Kaohsiung - Chiayi (B/L/D)

  • Eternity Suspension Bridge - Two rope bridges constructed during the Japanese rule and crossing the Bazhang River.
  • Longyin Temple - A temple which enshrines the Ji Gong Living Buddha, is one of the most important sights of Chukou.
  • Fenchihu Old Street - There are countless nostalgic stories in the town of Shancheng filled with restaurants and souvenir shops.
  • Experience the famous Railway Lunchbox at the Fenchihu Railway Station!
  • Alishan National Forest Recreation Area - Walkthrough forest trails surrounded by ancient trees to see undisturbed natural wonders. Along the way immerse into beautiful Sisters Pond and spot 1st generation Sacred Tree (Shenmu).
  • Shouzhen Temple - A temple dedicated to Xuanwu, the Supreme Emperor of the Dark Heavens.

Day 6 Chiayi - Nantou - Taichung (B/L)

  • Sun Moon Lake - Take a scenic boat ride on the lake, pass by Lalu Island, and arrive Syuanguang Temple Pier. Enjoy a famous tea leaf egg.
  • Wenwu Temple - Learn about the local culture and heritage by visiting this temple and overlooks the panoramic view of Sun Moon Lake from the observation deck.
  • Fengjia Night Market - Visit the largest night market that offers local snacks and fashionable shops.

Day 7 Taichung - Taipei (B/L)

  • National Palace Museum - Visit a world-class museum that hosts an eclectic collection of treasures.
  • Taipei 101 - Towering landmark skyscraper offering financial services and vibrant shopping malls, gathers the world's top brands and observation deck on the 89th floor.
  • Taiwan Presidential Office - To learn more about Taiwan's colonial past and cultural heritage.
  • Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall - The famous national monument erected in memory of former President Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek.
  • Ximending - The "Harajuku" of Taipei, hosting a massive variety of fashion clothing shops, restaurants, clubs, and bars.
  • Shilin Night Market - You will be drop off at the famous night market where you can end your day tasting the best street foods of Taiwan!

Day 8 Departure - Taipei (B)
  • You will be transferred to Taoyuan International Airport for your flight back home.

Airport Pick Up Information:

  • The Local Guide will be waiting at the meeting point holding a placard. The Local Guide will wait for you up to 1 hours 30 minutes from your flight landing time. If you are delayed longer than 1 hours and 30 minutes after landing, please message to car owner or driver. A surcharge will be imposed.

Tour Pick Up Information:

  • The local guide will be in contact with you to reconfirm the pick up time and daily itinerary.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • All cancellation must be made in writing.

Before Date Of Departure:

  • 10% of total tour fare will be imposed for cancellation after confirmation.
  • 50% of total tour fare will be imposed for cancellation made 30days and beyond prior to departure.
  • 100% of total tour fare will be imposed for cancellation made less than 30days prior to departure.

During The Tour:

  • There is no refund value for unused portions of tour and travel services.
